You might remember this craft from childhood art class, but if not, we are showing you how easy it is to marbleize paper. This is a great way to elevate place cards, create unique wrapping paper, or basic stationary as we chose to make.
So, once again, our DIY is DIYours!
Follow these simple steps to creating your own unique design.
Container large enough to fit the width/height of your paper
Foam Shaving Cream (we chose to use Barbisol Original)
Food Coloring (Any kind works. We used neon pink and neon purple)
Spray shaving cream into your container
Add 3 drops of each color that you choose to use
Swirl shaving cream in any pattern or design that you would like. Be sure not to over swirl or your mixture will become a solid color.
Place the paper into the mixture and press down so all of the paper is touching the mixture
Peel the paper out of the mixture
Lay flat with solid side facing down. Slide the popscicle stick down the paper removing the shaving cream. This will seal your design into the paper
Place the backside of the paper into the mixture and repeat steps 4-6
The paper dries rather quickly and you are left with beautiful designs and paper that have a great scent. This is a fun project to do with your kids as well as there are few steps involved.
Design Tip: For dip dyed paper submerge half of the paper into the mixture and wipe of the mixture from both sides.
